Roofing Giant · Dallas & DFW
Shingle selection is one part of a sound residential roofing plan. Review the complete system, the condition of the roof deck and the details that help the roof shed water, then choose the shingle that fits your home, your HOA and your budget.
Choose a shingle within a complete system
Architectural and three-tab shingles have different profiles and product specifications. Compare the named product, color, installation requirements and written warranty. Ask what is currently available for your project; an older product brochure may not describe today’s selection. The scope should also identify the underlayment, starter course, ridge details and flashings; ventilation and the condition of the deck deserve their own discussion.
Roofing Giant has a current Owens Corning Preferred contractor profile, and company records identify current GAF, Malarkey and CertainTeed status. Current contractor credentials and enhanced manufacturer-system warranty eligibility are confirmed for the selected product and complete roof system before they are represented. See Credentials & Verification, our shingle overview and the roof system anatomy guide.

Questions before you get started
Can a damaged area be repaired with new shingles?
It depends on the existing roof condition, material availability and whether the repair can be integrated reliably. Request a roof repair assessment before assuming the whole roof must be replaced.
Do impact-resistant shingles prevent all hail damage?
No roofing product should be presented as immune to every storm. Review the specific product information and ask your insurer directly about any policy-related discount.
