Why gutter guards matter
Cleaning gutters is a dirty and sometimes dangerous job, and skipped cleanings let debris build up, block drainage and add weight that pulls gutters away from the fascia. Leaf protection is designed to reduce leaves and debris entering the gutter and can reduce routine cleaning, but performance depends on the product, roof, surrounding trees and maintenance. Gutters and guards should still be inspected periodically, especially after severe weather.
