Should I have my roof inspected?

Yes. Many people assume a roof is fine because it looks fine and does not leak, but hail and wind damage in Dallas–Fort Worth often is not visible from the ground until it turns into decking damage and interior leaks. Catching small problems early saves the big expense later. That is why we offer a no-obligation free roof inspection with a detailed report.

How do I know if my roof needs to be replaced after a hailstorm?

There is no universal hail-hit count that automatically requires replacement or guarantees insurance payment. The decision depends on the roof material, age, condition, damage pattern and whether the roof can be reliably repaired. Roofing Giant documents the physical condition and construction options; your insurer determines whether the loss is covered under your policy. Start with the hail damage guide or a free roof inspection.

Can my roof be repaired?

Often, if the defect is localized and the surrounding roof remains serviceable. A small leak, a limited number of damaged shingles or a failed flashing detail may be repairable. Widespread damage, repeated failures or an assembly that can no longer be reliably repaired can make replacement the better scope. See roof repair vs. replacement or start with a documented inspection.

Can I replace missing or damaged shingles without calling a roofing contractor?

Roof work carries a serious fall risk, and a durable repair depends on compatible shingles, correct fastening, underlayment and flashing details. Roofing Giant uses qualified roofing crews managed to defined project and installation standards; the applicable workmanship terms are stated in the written project agreement. See roof repair for the professional repair process.

Can I buy my own roofing material and use a roofing company for labor only?

Sometimes, but responsibilities should be defined in writing before the job. Material quantities, compatible accessories, delivery, shortages, damaged products, returns and manufacturer-warranty eligibility can all change when the owner supplies the materials. Compare the complete system and who is responsible for each component before choosing a labor-only scope.

How long does it take to install a new roof?

It depends on the size of the building, from one to three days or more. For most residential homes a new roof takes a single day.

Where do you buy your roofing supplies?

Roofing materials are sourced through roofing distributors and manufacturer supply channels based on the specified product, availability and project requirements. The supplier can vary by job; the written proposal should identify the roofing system and products that matter to your warranty and scope.

What brand of roofing material do you use?

Roofing Giant works with multiple roofing manufacturers and selects the exact product around the property, system requirements, availability, budget and warranty goals. Roofing Giant is an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor, and company records identify current GAF, Malarkey and CertainTeed credentials. Use the four-brand shingle comparison and Credentials & Verification for current context.

What does a new roof cost in Dallas–Fort Worth?

For a typical single-story home with architectural shingles, fair-market pricing runs about $400 to $550 per square (100 square feet) before decking repairs or steep-pitch adders. Use the cost calculator for your home.

Will filing a hail claim raise my insurance rates?

Premiums, renewal decisions and underwriting treatment vary by insurer, policy, location, claims history and market conditions. Roofing Giant does not determine how a claim will affect your premium. Ask your insurer or licensed insurance agent how your specific policy is handled, and use our roof insurance claim process guide for the roofing-documentation steps.

Do you offer financing?

Yes, through third-party lenders with approved credit. See roof financing and the payment calculator.
