Introduction Letters
Dear Neighbors (or, homeowner’s name, if possible),
My name is ________________, and I am a Roofing Specialist with Roofing Giant. I sincerely hope you can benefit from this letter. In <month> of <year>, a hailstorm came through your community causing millions of dollars worth of damage. Ironically, many people are not even aware of it. Since then, I have helped numerous homeowners by working with their insurance companies to replace their damaged roofs, siding and gutters.
Often times, hail damage to a home is very subtle and difficult to identify. While the insurance restoration process is sometimes tedious and frustrating, the procedural steps I would take to assist you, get results. First, a free inspection of your home will reveal if it has sustained damage. If it has been damaged, then, with your permission, I will work on your behalf with your insurance company to make sure they are fair with you and compensate you for everything you are entitled to receive. Finally, you will select the color and type of building materials we will use and all repairs will be completed quickly and to your complete satisfaction.
If you’ve previously filed a claim and it was denied, or if the insurance company only agreed to pay for partial repairs, call me for a second opinion. If I find damage beyond what they originally agreed to, I will call your insurance company for a re-inspection. If they disagree or refuse to pay for everything we feel you are entitled to, I will then request that a different adjuster re-inspect your home. If they still refuse to pay you what we honestly feel you are entitled to, then, we can even have an arbitrator act as a mediator. I will be present at every meeting to point out the damage and to protect your interests.
As an example, the__________________Family at _______________________called me for my services, and now they are getting a new roof, siding and gutters, all paid for by their insurance company.
Roofing Giant is the leading Dallas roofing company that specializes in insurance restoration work on roofs and gutters. We are members in good standing with the Better Business Bureau, the National Roofing Contractor Association, and North Texas Roofing Contractors Association.
As for my credentials, I have lived in the local area for ______ (brief description of all work and educational history that may be relevant). In my dealings with all homeowners, I promise prompt, honest communication and dedicated follow-through. I hope I have the opportunity to work for you!

This Should be Mailed in a Large Envelope with our brochure or Why Our Customers Love Us.
Dear Neighbors (homeowner’s name, if possible),
Last week I sent you an Introduction Letter and I just wanted to follow up to make sure you had received it. Again, this letter was about the recent hailstorm and the extensive damage it has caused in the neighborhood.
Since my last letter, I have helped (many/some) more of your neighbors by working with their insurance companies to replace their roof, siding and gutters at no cost to them except their insurance deductible. You have probably noticed (a large number/how many of/a number of) my signs popping up around the area. (All/Most/Some) of these homeowners have already been approved by their insurance company for complete restoration services by (your company).
Because I haven’t heard from you, I am assuming you haven’t made up your mind on whether to pursue a claim, or you haven’t yet decided on the right contractor to do your work. If that is the case, the enclosed brochure should be of assistance to you in making your decision.
I also wanted to let you know we should start work on the (last name) home at (address____________) (this coming week/next week). Please feel free to stop by and see the quality of our work. Either myself or our project manager would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have or to show you around the construction site.
Anyway, you will probably see a lot of me around the neighborhood. I drive the (describe vehicle and color) with the Roofing Giant logo in the (door/window/bedside). So, if you have any questions about how we can help you get a new roof too, just holler and flag me down, or call me at (phone#).
I look forward to hearing from you soon. Sincerely,

Dear Neighbors (homeowners’ name, if possible),
I am again writing a follow-up to my earlier letters, along with the brochure I (mailed/gave) to you earlier. I noticed you haven’t yet completed repairs to your home from the recent storms. I know this could be for any number of reasons.
Many people think their insurance rates will go up if they file a claim, which is very understandable, considering this is what happens if they have an auto accident. What the homeowners who are working with me have found is their insurance carrier cannot raise their rates for filing a claim, nor hold it against them when that claim is based on a natural disaster like a hail or wind storm.
Other homeowners in the neighborhood have had their adjuster out, and they denied coverage or only paid for a part of their repairs. They felt there was nothing more that could be done unless they wanted to spend a lot of their own money to complete the repair. What they discovered when I started working with them was not only could I get their insurance company to send out a new adjuster to re-inspect their home, I could also negotiate with their carrier and get them to pay enough to fix all of the damage, and to do it right. They could now afford to complete all of their repairs and they could get it done by a quality contractor. I have had more than a few homeowners who started with $3000 to $5000 claims and who ended up with $20,000.00 or higher claims before we were done. Their insurance company paid for all of their repairs, except, of course, for their deductible.
Many other people were worried they would pick the wrong contractor. This is very understandable considering the horror stories we all have heard. To give you an opportunity to see just who we are and find out what our customers have learned, I have enclosed a list of homes we have worked on in the (city) market. You are invited to drive by each of these homes and inspect our work for yourself. I have also enclosed a few referral letters from some of (my/ our) clients. Please feel free to contact them in person, or give them a call and ask them about their experience working with (your company).
I again hope I will hear from you soon. Sincerely,

When sending the 3rd letter there should be 3-4 roofs built already in the area.
Dear Neighbors (homeowners’ name, if possible),
I just wanted to drop you a short note with some additional reference letters I have received from some of your neighbors.
A few of your neighbors have agreed to write letters of recommendation for me and for (your company). (They/Some of them) have agreed to accept phone calls on my behalf.
Please read through these references. You will probably know some of these folks, or will at least recognize their names as being your neighbors. I hope you will take the time to call one or two of them to find out about the job we did for them.
Again, if you have any questions you can flag me down in the neighborhood (remember, I’m the (guy/gal) in the (describe vehicle with color) with the Roofing Giant logo on it) or you can simply call my office where my assistant can schedule an appointment for us, or put you directly in touch with me.
Hope to hear from you soon.
