Receive the adjuster report along with the first check from the insurance company. If it is not an insurance claim then collect the payment of 50% of the job estimated price.
After the insurance adjuster inspects the roof he/she will provide the homeowner with the adjuster report. Sometimes the report is issued right on the spot. It may take some time but wait for the homeowner to receive the report and then get the report from the homeowner. Sometimes the adjuster may give you a copy of the report. If not, then ask the homeowner for the report. If needed then promise to bring it back after making a copy. How to read the adjuster report.
The first check is sent to the homeowner with the adjuster report. So, if the homeowner has the report, then they should have a check as well. Checks can be made sometimes to the homeowner and his mortgage company. If so, then have the homeowner go to the office or center of his mortgage company and have them endorse the check. Homeowner would need to have the adjuster report with them. If the mortgage company does not have offices in DFW then the homeowner can mail it to the mortgage company or we can do it for the homeowner.
