Detailed Property Inspection - Hail/Wind Damage

Inside House

• Inspect ceilings for stains before you inspect the roof so you could find the leak problem easier. ​
• Verify that attic pipes are at least 3” from the decking. We must use 1.25" roofing nails to nail shingles. It's required by manufacture specifications. Sometimes pipes are attached to the decking even against local building codes. If there are any pipes (often AC or gas) we would need to notify a homeowner about that and move the pipes or protect the pipes before roof construction begins.

Outside House 
Inspect the perimeter of the property before you inspect the roof. Hail damage on gutters and windows screens will show you the strength and direction of the hail storm. Start from the front and walk around the perimeter, inspect and take photos of the items listed below.
